Why is Bosworth College such a special place to work? It’s very diverse nature is sometimes challenging, sometimes entertaining and always enlightening. My message to students is simple: enjoy yourselves, be happy, but always do your best. You don’t want to find yourself looking back and saying “if only I…”, because then it’s too late.
I have always been interested in the world and people around me, which is how I ended up teaching Geography and Psychology – an unusual combination. Teaching is a rewarding job, particularly here where students have a strong sense of purpose and desire to succeed. Being the A2 Course Director gives an additional opportunity to help our students and additional sense of reward.
I subscribe to the idea put forward by the Dalai Lama: “Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them.” I believe being a teacher and Course Director allows me to do this.
