The film making course takes place in the afternoon and has the General English course as the basis for the morning activities.
Film making workshops take place four afternoons a week. Workshops will cover all elements of film making from pre-production (planning), production (filming) and post-production (editing). In pre-production students will cover the use of the camera, lighting and audio equipment and writing and directing across various genres. In production, they capture their story through camera, lighting and sound and in post-production they will take their moving images and craft them into a compelling film through the use of editing techniques.
Workshops are aimed at students with little or no experience in film making. At the end of the course all students will watch the short films the group has produced in Bosworth Hall on the big screen. This course has a 2 week minimum booking and students can join in weeks 1, 3 or 5 only.
“It was a lot of fun and a chance to use professional film equipment and I really enjoyed the teamwork element.”
